Rosy-Tipped Worm

Aporrectodea rosea

Description:

These worms were about 6-8 inches long (they change length a lot as they move) with a blue and red band as shown. They were all over the place after a heavy rain-storm. Apparently they are quite good for feeding small garter snakes, which is not something I have experience with, but came accross when I was trying to ID them.

Habitat:

open field
