Heterometrus javanensis

Description:

Found wandering outside of the cabin in the fringe of Primary rainforest. Bluish body under the sun. Seemed timid when was captive but aggressive in the wild.

hi reeooe, no it's found in North Sumatra, Indonesia. It was inside one of the reforestation site of the rainforest (Gunung Leuser National Park).

Hi Argy Bee, it's about 16cm (6.3 in) long. We dare not go too near or touch it, until the local forest ranger held it and put it inside a pail.
