Yellow Slender Robber Fly

Cerdistus sp.

Description:

A slender bodied robberfly with a pale abdomen which had dark tapering terminal segments. Wings were a clear light brown at the base of which were seen yellowish halteres (seen in pic #2 as a yellow patch above the second leg). Tibiae were yellow and tarsi black.

Habitat:

Spotted resting on the tip of a lime leaf

Notes:

This species of robberfly hunt while flying grabbing other flies and prey mid-air.
