Feeding on a primula at the bank of Gurudongmar Lake. Altitude 17,100ft.
I actually spotted this dwarf Primula by the bank of Gurudongmar Lake (altitude: 17,1000) and was taking some quick photos as it was already windy by 9.00AM. It was a pleasant surprise that this bee came and sat on the flower!

Great find Dr Namgya!
This is a wonderful photo. I think you have a fly species of some type. A syrphid fly, possibly. Many of them are bee and wasp mimics.
