Description:

Highly variable in color pattern. Many specimens are black with a pair of pink or red spots on the wing covers. Others are pink with bold black polka-dots. Still others are black with fourteen cream-colored spots.

Habitat:

Forests of the northern U.S. and adjacent southern Canada

Notes:

This one was on the window of an ATM kiosk outside a bank at night.
