Eastern bluebird

Sialia sialis


A pair of bluebirds raised four babies in a box in my yard; she had laid five eggs but only four hatched into young ones (last photo, 1 June). They were diligent about feeding and cleaning the nest by carrying away fecal sacs (4th photo).
