Longwing Owlet Moth

Hulodes caranea

Description:

A male Hulodes caranea resting on a wall. The wingspan of this moth is simply extreme compared to it's body length. At least 7cm from wingtip to wingtip. Light greyish brown in color. Back of the wings lined with a lighter color.

Habitat:

Forest around Balung River Eco Resort, Tawau, Sabah.

Notes:
