Emperor Scorpion

Heterometrus Longimanus.

Description:

Black Arthropod with a shiny shell body, 2 large claws 6 legs a long tail with a round knob at the end with a stinger, Mild poison

Habitat:

Damp dark areas, walls, anything they can hide in from shoes to boxes.

Notes:

Now its said these are very poison, I am not really sure how much because I do handle them often when seen and have been stung a few times and not died or have any side effects...but maybe they are in certain times of the year, I just dont know and reccomend you dont go picking one up without knowing what you are handling, they are known to be poison...so be wise handling them. I love them and hold with care when i find one. Usually you only get hurt if you harmed or scared any creature except your mirror reflection hehehehehe

I have only seen this once when I was young.
So far it is the most beutiful and largest scorpion that I have ever seen here.
By the way, I love your donkey story.
Did you made it up or you have learn it from somewhere ?

Yes Heterometrus Longimanus., i googled it and it looks just like this one, it gave little info though, but this one is a big critter, in my palms he nearly covered it, but I did not spend much time holding him, nervous he may sting....lol and TY for the suggestion...

I am never good in identifying scorpions but I do have a suggestion for this one. What do you think of this species - Heterometrus Longimanus.
