Neotropic Cormorant

Phalacrocorax olivaceus

Description:

It is a thin seabird. Its plumage is blackish and may or may not have blue or green iridescence, the tops are brown and the skin of the face and gular is yellow to orange. During the breeding season the plumage may have a tuft of white filoplumes neck and a white border on the gular area.

Habitat:

Coastal areas, freshwater lakes, rivers and marshes.
