Moments before taking this I was in a field photographing a church when 3 hens and 20 plus chicks erupted from the field around me and ran for it in all directions - One hen distracted me by attacking with wings spread running low to the ground away from the chicks. All of these were a few feet away and I didn't see them until they moved. Some chicks just buried themselves in the straw and waited it out.

Awesome! In Belgium I always see males and every once in a while a female with them but never the babies. I guess they must be very hidden so is very good luck to find them :-)
