Cotton Leaf Roller Moth

Haritalodes derogata

Description:

Crambidae; Spilomelinae; Haritalodes derogata (Fabricius, 1775) Wikipedia describes the dorsal view as follows: "Adults are pale brown with complex dark brown sinuous lines over each wing." From the ventral view in one of my pictures, you can see that the underside of the wings is much less detailed.

Habitat:

This little Crambid was spotted in our vegetable plot on the Tomato Plants (Lycopersicon esculentum) http://www.stuartxchange.com/Kamatis.htm....

Notes:

Wikipedia, in its Distribution Section states: "( Haritalodes derogata) is widely distributed. Records include the Comoros, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Mali, Réunion, Madagascar, the Seychelles, South Africa, the Gambia, Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, the Andaman Islands, Bali, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, China and Japan. It is sometimes encountered in Europe, due to accidental import." There is no mention of Philippines. However, H. derogata is included in the Crambidae section of https://philepidoptera.wixsite.com/phile.... It is also confirmed present in Philippines on https://www.cabi.org/isc/datasheet/52198....
