Impatiens kinabaluensis
Impatiens kinabaluensis, The Kinabalu Balsam, is a flowering plant belonging to the Balsaminaceae family. These plants derives their genus name Impatiens (Latin for "impatient") in reference to their seed capsules. When the capsules mature, they "explode" when touched, sending seeds several meters away. The species Latin name kinabaluensis refers to the Mt. Kinabalu, where this species occurs.
