Crocosmia

Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora

Description:

Spotted at local reserve growing amongst native bush.It is a plant with soft sword-shaped leaves and grows from perennial corms. It has attractive bright red orange flowers in summer. The fruit turn yellow-orange. Crocosmia or Montbretia as it is commonly called reproduces from corms that are often spread in garden rubbish. It often forms large colonies along roadsides and streams.

Beautiful flower that comes in several different colors like red, yellow and oranges. It's a little bulb. The hummingbirds love it.
