Cool find! This looks like a type of bracket fungus. This would be perfect to add to the Mushroom Mapping mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/3600...

I did remove this spotting from the two missions it was in before because it didn't meet the criteria (not a plant and not a sign of wildlife).
