A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
A huntsman spider (Sparassidae) being stationary on a tree trunk. Head to abdomen length - about 13mm. This could be a young spider. I am still unsure whether this species is arboreal or mainly forest floor dweller.
Possibly on trees or forest floor of the Maliau Knowledge (jungle) Trail in MBSC.
This species is new to me. After checking all my photographs, I have confirmed that I have never seen this back in Tawau. It can be easily differentiated from the common forest floor huntsman back in Tawau. >>>Map accuracy : 5km diameter.
