Coral Fungi

Description:

A reddish orange colored coral fungi sprouting from the forest floor. The longest stalk is no longer than 6cm in length. Possibly a Clavulinopsis miniata.

Habitat:

On the forest floor rich in leaf litter in the entrance of Maliau Knowledge Trail (forest trail) in MBSC.

Notes:

My first coral fungus spotting. Special thanks to Gully.moy for identifying it's genus. I was overjoyed getting to spot such a wonderful species but unhappy because I was not given enough time to get a good photograph of this spotting as the rest of the tour group were quickly moving on. >>>Map accuracy : 5km diameter.
