Description:

3 to 8 inches in length. Smooth skin; ridge extends from eye around large eardrum but not along the back; webbing on hind foot does not extend to tip of the longest toe. "Male Bullfrogs have pale to bright yellow throats; in females it's pale to creamy white. A male's tympanum is larger than the eye; a female's is about the same size as the eye." (Northern Woodlands, summer 2015 by Virginia Barlow). Male in first image. Large tadpole in the second image showing the beginning of legs.
