A leaf-footed bug (Family Coreidae) that resembles the large squash bug (Mictis caja) but it has orange structures just behind the second pair of legs (and it is on both sides) which isn't apparent on Mictis caja as depicted here http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_... The same species is seen here from Papua too http://www.papua-insects.nl/insect%20ord... and is also unidentified.
Spotted on betel vine (Piper betel) in a large semi-urban yard & garden, near a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.
