Morrison's Sallow Moth

Eupsilia morrisoni

Description:

Family: Noctuidae, Subfamily: Noctuinae, Tribe: Xylenini. A common Sallow moth. Total length: 18-21 mm. Peppery medium brown/red. FW has inconspicuous AM and PM lines edged paler. Faint brown median line is angled. One spot on each wing. Hosts: Apple, cherry, birch and elm.

Habitat:

Woodlands and fields. This moth attracted to light and found out light the next morning.

Notes:

Temperature in my area more mild than usual.

You are still finding moth in your area! Lucky you. Nothing flying about around here in Montreal. I have to go into my photo archives to stimulate my passion for enjoying moth. You have a very nice collection. What are your sources for identifying your moth? Nice finger by the way.
