Description:

This species sports a brown cap with narrow black eye line and buff white cheeks, chin, and belly. Its wings are bluish-gray in color. A small white spot is found at the nape of the neck. - Wikipedia

Habitat:

Brown-headed Nuthatches occur in Southeastern pine forests in areas with loblolly, shortleaf, longleaf, and slash pine trees. They are most common in open and mature pine forests and are less common in mixed pine-hardwood stands. - From Cornell Lab "All About Birds"
