I've been following the progress of the chrysalis. I just uploaded a couple of photos where you can see the details of the wings, antennae and eyes of the butterfly, i hope it will hatch soon

Hey, now that EarlySatges mention it, i have never seen Malachites around my house, but there are a lot of Rusty-tipped pages.

Thanks EarlyStages and bayucca for the help

Keith, tell me how much I am in dept... I was looking the whole web for this chrysalis but I obviously had a little blackout not to check the other Siproeta. Shame on me! I agree with your ID. Thanks for looking into that.

Sorry Dominik, but my money is on Siproeta epaphus (Rusty-tipped Page) . . .

Compared to your BugGuide reference, note S. epaphus's darker, more pointed dorsal spines, and subtending black spots versus golden "bumps".

It will indeed. Btw, do you have any idea about how much will it last to hatch?

The hatching would be the immediated proof of my ID! ;-)...

Thanks Victoria, actually i think it is a Nymphalid of some sort. Perhaps Heliconuis sp.
