Taractrocera luzonensis luzonensis

Description:

Taractrocera luzonensis (Staudinger, 1889) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. It is found from south-western Burma and northern Thailand through Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines to Sulawesi and neighboring islands. The length of the forewings is 10.1-12.1 mm. The ssp endemic to the Philippines is Taractrocera luzonensis luzonensis (Staudinger, 1889). Genus Taractrocera (Butler, 1870) spp are also called Grass Darts.

Habitat:

Backyard, spotted on Tridax procumbens flower.
