Eastern Amberwing

Perithemis tenera

Description:

A reddish, orange-colored, small dragonfly (male, I believe)

Habitat:

On wildflowers and grass, growing in an area regularly mowed On a slight hill about 1/2 a city block away from a fresh water lake (Annie Battle Lake) and in full sunlight

Notes:

I have only found and photographed this dragonfly once before. It could be the fact that I normally avoid the picnic and parking areas in the park or it may be that they're less numerous than other dragonflies.
