Description:

Large predatory snail.

Habitat:

Found on a wooden walkway next to our vegetable garden. It was trying to get between the cracks in the boards. But its shell was too large.

Notes:

A predator of other snails and slugs. Was introduced into many Pacific islands to combat the introduced Giant African Land Snail. The Wolf Snail preferred smaller prey and fed on native tree snails. Causing many species to go extinct.
