The Rufous Treepie

Dendrocitta vagabunda

Description:

It is very adaptable, omnivorous and opportunistic in feeding.

Habitat:

It is native to the Indian Subcontinent and adjoining parts of Southeast Asia.

Notes:

The screeching cry of the parents made me go out on a cold morning. I found the chick limping on the ground and took it and placed it on a low branch. After a lot of screeching and coaxing the parents were able to make it fly higher and higher and join them.
