Karen Hi and thank you for you help. he was a small caterpillar about 1/4" long. Found him on my tomato plant so i move him to a better place.

Boy.. these caterpillars that change so drastically with each instar can be sooooo confusing! But I think I got this one. According to the website I gave you, this would be a teeny tiny newly-hatched caterpillar... about 1/4" long. If not, than I need to look for another ID!
