Short-horned Grasshopper

Gesonula mundata

Description:

Acrididae; Oxyinae; Gesonula mundata (Walker, 1870). "Gesonula mundata is a species of short-horned grasshopper in the family Acrididae. It is found in Southeast Asia and Oceania". Wikipedia.

Habitat:

Spotted in a very dense tangle of grasses and foliage under Mango Trees at the edge of a rice field. Although this little patch of weeds is only around 10 square meters in area, it is one of the places I describe as a "Hotspot" for biodiversity in my notes.
