Description:

Male: glossy green head, white collar, cinnamon breast, grey belly and light brown wings. Female: mottled brown to buff.

Habitat:

Wetlands of northern hemisphere. Resting in a pound during a rainy day.

Notes:

Note the perfect rain protection the feathers provide. The water stays on the top of the plumage, not filtering to the deepest layers.
