Description:

Coral-like base with sprouting arms and box-like tips; candelabra-like. White to yellowish (particularly with age) Fruiting structures up to about 3 inches tall.

Habitat:

Throughout North America Saprophytic. Solitary or clusters on soft and hard woods. June - September

Notes:

Formerly Clavicorona pyxidata Edible; have a peppery taste.
