Spotting

Description:

Moth Caterpillars with body covered with fine hair and a diameter ranging from 1.5 - 2.5 mm and an average length of 1.5 - 2.5 cm. They feed on leaf to leaf in groups during the day and take shelter in the lower trunk of the tree late in the afternoon until the next morning. The hostplant is Molave tree a tropical hardwood.

Habitat:

High and low elevation tropical forests and cultivated land.
