Description:

2-4 inches. Skin smooth, eardrums larger in male; above green to brownish, sometimes spotted with black, below white, often spotted.

Habitat:

Swamps, streams, ponds.

Notes:

Voice: low pitched like the sound of a banjo or bass violin; swollen throat is a flattened pouch.
