Hi Jolly, there's a species occurring in the Philippines, I just realized now - Microchrysa fuscistigma (http://www.globalspecies.org/ntaxa/42432...), although there's no available image in the net. On the other hand, if you check the distribution of M. flaviventris, it seems it's all around our neighborhood (http://www.globalspecies.org/ntaxa/42431...).

Great shots, Jolly!
Thanks Agnes for the ID.
I believe that Agnes is right with Microchrysa flaviventris. (sorry for my misdirection earlier with the big headed fly guess)

Similar to Leana's spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/159....
It's a Soldier Fly from family Stratiomyidae : Sarginae, Microchrysa flaviventris. This is the species that occurs in Asia. Image : http://bugguide.net/node/view/348918, Distribution: http://tolweb.org/Microchrysa/108771.
Thanks auntnance123 for giving the family of this spotting. I have yet to look for the exact species. Cannot find a green metallic one.
