Southern Flying squirrel

Description:

Smaller than your average grey squirrel, these mammals have flexible skin that stretches out like a glider to help them drift between trees. Belly is typically white with a brown/grey topcoat

Habitat:

west central ga. Mixed forest area.

Notes:

I just LOVE taking pics of these guys. They raid my feeders at night, but they sound so cute. They also took over one of my bird boxes to live in their fluffy grass stuffed nests.
