People do strange things.

That reminds me of another spotting from Kilauea that I'll soon upload. There was a white, fleshy blob that seemed like a weird outgrowth of a tree.

Interesting. It wouldn't have come from a tree but a large stalky shrub, but you're right it could have came from far away. Just the other day I saw a large ginger flower stuffed into a crack in a tree trunk. It looked like it was coming out of the tree but obviously someone put it there.

Oddly, no. I just found this naked cone lying in the grass; maybe someone picked it from the plant and put it there? There were trees around it but none that obviously bore this.
