Cosmisoma chalybeipenne
Coleoptero
I found this specimen in the school where I teach. He just landed on me. Around the school, there are several "Tabebuia sp", grasses, mushrooms and passion fruit. It has possible a relationship between plants and fungi and the specimen?
Have a sort of "hairiness" on antennas
Patty, I made my comment before I saw yours. I agree that it needs more research, because some of these critters have more than one scientific name.
I deleted my other comment as I thought asergio was right because he knows much more than me but I rechecked the site (we are both referring to the same) and for what I see, I THINK (that is to say, I am not sure), that we are BOTH right as the page says: "All we can say for certain is that this is a Longicorn OR Longhorned Borer Beetle in the family Cerambycidae..." Greetings to both asergio and Leonardo.
