Northern Green Jumping Spider

Mopsus mormon

Description:

One of the largest of the jumping spiders. With its dark front legs outstretched it appeared a lot bigger than it was. It was not perturbed by my presence. Very inquisitive. This male has the characteristic white whiskers and top knot.

Habitat:

Sitting on the leaf blade of Megathyrsus maximus (Guinea grass), James Cook University
