Description:

Α Jersey tiger moth, spotted while feeding on a thistle, in Agrafa mountains, Greece. Euplagia quadripunctaria, the Jersey tiger, is a day-flying moth of the family Erebidae. The adult wingspan is 52–65 millimetres , and they fly from July to September, depending on the location. It is a very common Greek moth species, found mainly in the countryside.
