Chelidura guentheri

Description:

I found this earwig at the bottom of the wheelbarrow after cleaning in the garden. It is shiny, reddish brown. The head, antennae and bones are brighter, more yellowish. Earwigs have characteristic cerci, a pair of forceps-like pincers on their abdomen.

Habitat:

Forest edge under dead wood and leaves.
