Description:

About 18mm from wingtips to face at rest. Relatively long legs. Thorax four dark stripes on silver.

Habitat:

Resting in the bark of a large eucalyptus tree in suburban back yard.

Notes:

Could be Phorocera sp.. Tachinid are hard to identify even to genus level.
