Grasshopper-like insect with a protruding spike.
Habitat:
Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty. This butterfly was spotted in the garden of the resort we stayed in.

Acrididae, Cantatopinae I think. But I am a little bit sceptic if it is really Diabolocatantops pinguis. Close, but I see in yours some brighter lines behind the eyes. Also sceptic about this one:
