I will add more but at the time there isn't much to say. Spotted it at Pacific Commons Linear Park. A some what new park behind the Auto Mall. If you look at the map it's not big but I kept getting reports that there are so many species there. So I came looking for Mergansers and couldn't see any. Instead I got two hawks, falcon, and some moorhen. There were also Loggerhead Shrike, Pintail, Wigeon, Black Crown Night Heron, Say's and Black Phoebes and more but they were too far in this small park.

Thanks again Liam.

Agree with Merlin - smaller and slimmer than Accipiters with a cleaner chest and no white on the scapulars.

haha :) it's that long slender tail and sharp wing shape that gets me thinking. it looks like he may also have a malar stripe.

It might be a Merlin. But not sure. It was definetly smaller then the other two hawks.
