Puget Sound Rockfish

Sebastes emphaeus

Notes:

This is a small rockfish that can be seen with others of its own kind hovering near cracks for quick get aways. This one was spotted on a reef in the Gulf Islands. You need a light while diving to appreciate the colours that the marine life of BC has!
