Largemouth Bass

Micropterus salmoides

Description:

A monster 24 inch long bass with an 18 inch girth!

Habitat:

Suburban canal, hanging out at the edge of the weeds and lily pads growing along the shore near a large school of silversides. Late evening, right before dusk

Notes:

Caught him with a Rapala lure. What a fight! Never seen or caught a fish this big in my canal! It was released after some pictures and measurements
