this little guy took off so fast this was the best shot I could get; great focus though, and clearly, he/she is looking right at me!

Take note how the yellow extends all the way to the neck - this brings it down to Couch's and Tropical - due to the range you can safely assume Tropical. In South Texas the only way to confidently distinguish them is by call. Beak size plays an important role but it is quite difficult to discern.
