A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Project Noah Nature School
Chelonoidis nigra porteri
A few of the 20 or so giant tortoises we saw in the highlands of Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz, Galapagos
Thanks Carol! I had a lot of fun writing them & reliving my trip!
So incredible. I have been catching up reading all the blogs today. Especially enjoyed your personal one.
Very lucky Kevin!
Wow amazing spotting, you are so lucky!
It was awesome Neil! Unlike most of the wildlife, the tortoises are rather nervous around people (they have good cause as they are still occasionally killed & eaten by the locals) so they tended to disappear into their shells if we got too close.
Yay Karen! That must have been something special. Love this spotting!
Thanks Fyn!
Awesome!
Thanks Mac!
Nice sries again Karen
