Western kingbird

Tyrannus verticalis

Description:

Grey head with a dark bill and eye streak. The throat is lighter grey and transitions to yellow at the belly. Wings are brownish.

Habitat:

Spotted along the N. Wenas Road on a farm fence.

Notes:

The Western Kingbird is the largest flycatcher in Washington.
