Leafy bladderwort

Utricularia foliosa

Description:

Very small, 1/4 to 1/2 inch across. Bright yellow, 3 petaled flower with lighter yellow center. Bud is shown however no leaves noted. Bright green stem. 3 to 4 inches in height.

Habitat:

Growing in a manmade swamp in standing water of a depth of 2 to 4 inches. Growing at the base of a bald cypress in a dense bald cupress forest. Shady location with only filtered light reaching the subject.
