Cream spotted Ichneumon

Xanthocryptus sp.

Description:

Approximately 15mm long. Spotted and banded white and black wasp with orange femurs, bands on antennae, white bands on rear tarsi.

Habitat:

Exploring the crevices of bark on local eucalyptus.

Notes:

Subfamily Cryptinae. This one was moving around very quickly so it was difficult to get a good clear shot. Wasps need a mission.

Thanks again John. Because I didn't get clarity of venation of wings I wasn't sure it wasn't braconidae.
