Description:

Small, very slender wasps, females with long, tail-like ovipositors. Males lack ovipositors.

Habitat:

Spotted many individuals of both genders gleaning sweet, sticky liquid droplets from leaves and stems of a large sunflower plant (Helianthus annuus) along a paved trail next to a channelized arroyo. Very urbanized, with various weeds, grasses, and elm trees.
