Habitat:

This species is found in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Guyana, Surinam, Peru and Brazil. It is found in rainforest and humid deciduous forest, at elevations between sea level and about 600 m. Both sexes are normally encountered singly, flying in forest glades or at light gaps where trees have fallen, and sunlight penetrates to ground level.
